Announcement – First Speakers Confirmed

We are very pleased to be able to announce that the first 5 speakers for the Alternative Investment Summit 2013 can now be confirmed. We have listed them below with a small biography and what exactly they will be talking about.

Daniel Kiernan – Opening Remarks

Dan has been an Associate Director of Intelligent Partnership since 2010, and was previously a VicePresident at the Bank of New York Mellon working in Performance and Risk Analytics.  Managing a multi-national team, his role was to work with large institutional clients to help them understand the performance of their investments.

At Intelligent Partnership Dan is the investment specialist and he recently passed the CII Level 4 Certificate in Discretionary Investment Management. As well as producing a lot of the content for IP’s articles, reports and videos, Dan also compiles and presents the accredited education programmes and training events. Dan is often invited to speak at industry events and regularly writes for the financial trade press.

Kevin Jack – PANEL: A pension operators perspective of alternative investments

Having previously run a SIPP/SSAS provider, City Trustees, since 2007 Kevin has been providing regulatory and technical support to SIPP operators through his consultancy firm, Enhance Support Solutions.

Kevin is an active member of the Association of Member Directed Pension Schemes (AMPS) through his involvement with the AMPS compliance sub-committee.

Andrew Roberts – PANEL: A pension operators perspective of alternative investments

Andrew graduated from Cambridge University in 1996 with a degree in Mathematics and qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in 2001.

He joined Barnett Waddingham in 2005 and in 2006 moved to their Liverpool office to look after a portfolio of SSAS and SIPP clients and to bring additional expertise in pension simplification matters. He has been advising on pension arrangments for directors and high net-worth individuals since 1996. In 2011, Andrew was appointed as Chairman of the Association of Member Directed Pension Schemes (AMPS), the trade association dealing with SSAS and SIPP matters.

Tony Norris – PANEL: Alternative funds and strategies

Tony is the Managing Director of Gallium Fund Solitions with over 20 years of practical experience in the launch and continuing management of collective investment schemes.Tony is a chartered accountant and, as well as raising and assisting with the raising of considerable amounts of investment capital from both institutional and private investors, he possesses a very detailed knowledge of the technical and compliance issues involved in launching and operating collective investment schemes.

Tony has extensive experience of launching collective investment schemes for numerous asset classes including residential and commercial property, bridging loans, mezzanine funding, films, renewable energy, PFI projects, traded endowment policies, fine art, commodities, stocks, shares and intellectual property.

Brad Lincoln – PANEL: Alternative funds and strategies

Brad is the founder and chief executive of the Best Group, one of Europe’s foremost providers of solutions for fractional and shared ownership. His company works with and supports developers throughout the world.

In addition to his duties with the Best Group, Brad is a director of Falcon Investment Property SPC, an off-shore fund focussed on the property industry. Falcon has interests in a number of international asset classes listed on the Channel Island Stock Exchange where Brad also overseas a portfolio of property investments in Europe and the Middle East.
