A double announcement for Rockpool’s involvement at the Alternative Investment Summit today.
Rockpool are the latest to be added to the list of sponsors for the Alternative Investment Summit as well as Managing Partner, Matt Taylor coming to sit on a panel session.
Matt co-founded Rockpool Investments LLP in 2011. With a mission to make investing in unquoted companies as easy as the stockmarket, Rockpool has already brought together clients with investable wealth of over £1 billion.
Matt has been investing in unquoted companies for over 20 years. For more than half that time, he has focused on creating tax-efficient routes into this sector for individual investors. As a senior partner at Foresight Group, a leading VCT and EIS fund management business, Matt was a member of investment committee for 11 years and held key roles in investment management and fund marketing. During this period, Foresight increased its funds under management by over £300 million.
Matt spent nine years as a private equity investor at 3i, during its time as the dominant player in the UK. He has also worked in corporate finance with Morgan Stanley and commercial banking with IKB Deutsche Industriebank.
