Thought-leaders announced for Alternative Investment Summit
Leading speakers from across the industry will share valuable insights on all aspects of alternative investment on Thursday 22 October at the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
Justin Urquhart-Stewart, co-founder of Seven Investment Management and a regular commentator on TV and radio, will debunk the myths of diversification with his perspective on the Role of Alternatives in an Investment Proposition.
Brendan Llewellyn, co-founder of Adviser Home, Professional Adviser’s ‘Armchair Critic’ columnist, and the Chairman of Judges for the Investment Marketing and Innovation Awards, will join the panel on Best and Worst Innovations in Alternative Investments with Dermot Campbell, Managing Director of Kuber Ventures – which has been shortlisted for Best Investment Platform and Industry Game Changer in the Growth Investor Awards.
With interest in social impact investment growing amongst advisers and investors, a panel on the Present and Future of Social Impact Investment will combine perspectives from Big Society Capital’s Evita Zanuso, and Rod Schwartz, founder & CEO of ClearlySO – which raises impact investment for businesses, funds and charities, and which runs the UK’s first impact-focused investing network, Clearly Social Angels.
A panel session on Understanding Risks & Rewards in Alternative Finance will include thought-leaders Louise Beaumont, Head of Public Affairs and Marketing at GLI Finance and Mike Baliman, founder and host of the London Fintech Podcast.
Daniel Kiernan, Research Director of Intelligent Partnership and curator of the AI Summit, commented: “A packed programme will be moderated once again by the excellent David Stevenson, Investment Week’s contrarian columnist. This year’s Summit marks a step change, for the speaker programme and for Intelligent Partnership as we present the wider universe of alternative investments from the industry’s architects of change; so there’s no better place to host it than RIBA’s stunning HQ on Portland Place.”
